Il team Wanty-Groupe Gobert ha corso questa settimana l’unica Classica del Giro del Mondo in Olanda, l’Amstel Gold Race tra Maastricht e Berg-en-Terbijt (248,3 km). Dopo un secondo posto alla Freccia del Brabante, Enrico Gasparotto ha ottenuto una vittoria storica per il team Wanty-Groupe Gobert.
Un bagno di folla tra le due ali sul Cauberg. La degna conclusione di un’impresa epica.
I chilometri iniziano ad essere veramente tanti. Quest’oggi Paolo si è misurato con la Decana, la più antica delle corse del Nord. Tutta la Vallonia da Nord a Sud e ritorno, 270 chilometri.
Paolo in assoluto più forte di tutto: pioggia incessante, vento in faccia e salita, siano i muri delle Fiandre oppure le còte della Vallonia.
L’Amstel Gold Race si svolgerà questa Domenica ed è sicuramente un obiettivo importante per il team Orica-GreenEDGE. Presentandosi subito dopo la prestazione di Matthew Hayman alla Parigi-Roubaix lo scorso fine settimana, il team spera di procedere con slancio nelle Classiche delle Ardenne.
