After Sardinia the Giro moves to Sicily with an ordered slowness. One flight, 2 charter and ships has been chosen by the organizers to move this colorful giant. The sun still shining bright while the summer reach Cefalù and with a fresh ice cream we climbs to Etna which in the past saw the wins of many champions such as Alberto Contador (2011), Franco Bitossi (1967 ) and Acacio Da Silve (1989 ). The Gorilla in pink, Andrè Greipel, will have to break its limits to get a special photo of himself with arms held high on the finish line. In yesterday race, one of the SPH’s testimonial, Davide Martinelli was one of the main characters in the escape attempt. Today at the start line we will try to get some declarations. Il gorilla in rosa, Andrè Greipel, dovrà riuscire a superarsi per regalarsi una foto veramente speciale, quella a braccia alte con il simbolo del primato. Alpi o Caraibi? Semplicemente Sardegna. In quello che potremmo definire un #fuorigiro si ha l’opportunità di scoprire vari aspetti dell’Italia che si incontra con la corsa rosa. Si parte da Olbia e si va a Tortolì, nell’Ogliastra, la parte orientale dell’isola dei 4 mori. Un susseguirsi di paesaggi senza eguali. Dopo la Costa Smeralda si sale sul passo Genna Silana, dove cresce una vegetazione composta da alberi sempreverdi, in pratica siamo sulle alpi.
