Everything is ready for the start on June 18 of the Hero Südtirol Dolomites, the mountain bike marathon hardest and most spectacular in the world, that will take place around the Sella in the Dolomites, UNESCO World Heritage Site.
4,016 bikers, representing 50 nations, will compete in two routes: a short route of 60 kilometers and 3,200 meters in altitude and a long path, defined by many as grueling, 86 kilometers with an elevation gain of 4,500 meters.
The marathon is the flagship event of four days of Hero Bike Festival, scheduled from June 16 to 19, an event which presents acrobatic shows, fashion exibitions, live concerts and events for charity.
On Saturday, June 18, for Hero Südtirol Dolomites will start at 7:10. First arrival at the finish line is scheduled for 10:45, while the winner of the longest track is expected for 11:45.
“From then on the streets will be a continuous celebration for the arrival of each Hero, and there will be time to relate each experience at the rich pasta party even if the real fireworks will be on the evening of Hero Great Finale! where we will reward the bikers in a spectacular event at the highest content accompanied by live music“, stressed Genni Tschurtschenthaler, managing director of the event.
