The wonderful Apeldoorn’s Velodrome was the location of the start of the Giro d’Italia 2016 for Wilier – Triestina with an individual time trial of 9.8 kms useful to break the ice and to feel the amazing atmosphere created by the dutch crowd.
Nella terza tappa della 4 Jours de Dunkerque era previsto un arrivo in volata e, anche se lo strappo posto a pochi chilometri dall’arrivo, ha sfoltito il gruppo, sul traguardo di Saint Pol sur Ternoise si è nuovamente imposto Bryan Coquard. Marco Frapporti, giunto con il gruppo dei migliori, ha mantenuto il quarto posto nella generale, a pari tempo con il terzo classificato Gediminas Bagdonas, entrambi distanziati di ventidue secondi dal leader Coquard.
E’ stato il giorno del giovane Julen Amezqueta, classe 1993, che ha movimentato assieme ad altri tre colleghi la 3^ tappa del Giro d’Italia mettendo in luce una caratteristica comune agli atleti della Wilier – Southeast, la combattività.
