The 5th stage of Tour of Turkey gave a great satisfaction to Team Southeast – Venezuela who achieved the first win in this race with Jakub Mareczko reaching aswell the podium with Manuel Belletti.
A brilliant effort from the team directed by Rossato and Bardelli with Matteo Draperi used in the first part of the stage in the chase of the daily breakaway and then with a real “train” of four wagons who leaded the sprinters inside the last km.
It was there that Manuel Belletti started his forcing with Jakub Mareczko on his wheel and unreachable for all his rivals with Andrè Greipel who ended in 2nd place and his team mate Belletti in 3rd.
This is the 5th win in 2016 for Team Southeast – Venezuela, the 4th one for Jakub Mareczko counting his victory with the National Team at Tour San Luis, a really important achievement 8 days before the start of the Giro.
